Where DO designers start? Where do they get their inspiration from? Everyone works differently, many projects are solely driven by the dynamic of the business they serve - the photography is always a great starting point. Some projects come to us as an entirely blank page and inspiration can take a while to strike. It’s terribly exciting once it does though and the brand language starts to evolve. Sometimes the starting point can be completely forgotten by the end of the journey. I was thinking about this today when I came across a beautiful image of a paint pot in my files - which came from goodness knows where! I remembered that it was the inspiration for my own company logos, which then became an homage to the famous Leica red button
